Conference for driving instructor course participants
The methodology conference for driving instructors and driving instructor course participants was held on 24th October 2009 in Warsaw. The aim of the conference was to raise the road safety by improving the professional qualifications of driving instructors. The conference was a join enterprise of the Ministry of Infrastructure and The National Traffic Safety Centre in Warsaw. The main topics of the conference concerned the prospective changes in the drivers training and examination system, the driving instructor responsibilities, professional development and the driving instructor course specifications. The participants received special certificates that confirm their engagement in professional development as well as a set of informative and training materials that will facilitate their work. The conference organisers also announced a contest for the best driving instructor. The candidates can be put up by their trainees till the end of the year. Then the applications will be verified and the instructor of the year will be chosen by a special jury. The conference was a great opportunity for many driving instructor course centres to summarise their activity and set up new goals in their development.
